New week, new restaurant!
Guess who's back! I've decided, since I eat out on a fairly regular basis I should write about my dining experiences. My goal? Try to eat at a new establishment at least once a week. In no means does this mean I won't be enjoying my regular pho places or preferred taco trucks. But I believe it's finally time to start taking advantage of all the deliciousness Seattle has to offer.
Week 1: Febuary 3-10, 2013
Restaurant: Kimchi Bistro
Address: 219 Broadway E, Seattle WA 98102
Meal: Bi bim bap and gyoza
Total (not including tip): $17
Description: Bi bim bap is a dish composed of assorted veggies, beef (in this case) and a nice sunny side up egg. It's served with an assortment of condiments, such as ;pickled daikon and carrots and kimchi. There were about 6 total but unfortunately I forget some of them. I ended up dumping them all into my bowl anyways. The dish has a nice balance of salty, spicy, a hint of bitter and plenty of texture. As for gyoza? Think deliciously fried pot stickers. Enough said.
Thoughts: Loved it. I truly enjoyed the prompt yet casual service the adorable little Asian lady provided. She effectively served the 3 or 4 tables she had while helping the dude in the back peeling a bus tub of carrots. I can appreciate some good multi tasking. It's a small place, has everything it needs to and nothing more. Food was super fast and very affordable. Will I go back? Most definitely. I've been needing a Korean restaurant in my life. I have no complaints, and I left quite content.
Thanks for reading, tune in sometime next week to find out where I went and what I thought!
